California Ethics and Democracy Summits

From 2009 through 2011, nineteen “Pioneer Cities” from across California worked together to implement voter and community outreach programs suited to the specific needs of their unique communities.  An initial California Ethics and Democracy Summit was held in 2009 to share best practices and vet concepts among participants.  A second Summit was held in 2012 where many Pioneer Cities shared their lessons-learned and provided feedback for inclusion in future educational curricula as well as the “Create Your Own Program” documents on this website.
